iQuiz: Leadership Trivia No. 4 – Secret Service Code Names

IQuiz logoAs most of you know, the U.S. Secret Service has code names for many of the people it is charged to protect – Presidents, their families, top cabinet members, notable politicians, celebrities that visit the White House, etc. That’s today’s leadership trivia quiz.

Those code names don’t necessarily have special meaning. And in some cases (like the President), the person being protected even gets to pick his or her own code name. Another piece of trivia: If the President picks a name that starts with “R,” then everyone else in the First Family will have a code name starting with “R.”

Originally those code names were for security reasons. Today, the names are often public. They’re primarily chosen for clarity and brevity to leave no doubt who is being referred to.

While all of the code names in this quiz are “public” names, we’ll admit upfront that you’re not likely to get many of these trivia questions correct unless you are a Washington insider. But the answers are a lot of fun and you can use them as conversation starters at your next cocktail party.

Good luck!
